STUDIO RENTAL
Before You Visit
- All studios are on the second floor, accessible via stairs through our Artist Entrance.
- We’re based in a former M&S building, which gives our space a unique character — but also means:
- Studios are partially private, not fully soundproof or insulated.
- There is no central heating in some areas.
- Each studio includes one power outlet.
- We aim to keep our spaces affordable and accessible to creatives.

pURPLE STUDIO
Individual studio space on the second floor with mirrors along one wall, perfect for someone looking for a private rehearsal room or filmmakers.
Total area: 77 m2 or 824 ft2 £957pcm.
FAQs
Sparks studios can be hired on a short-term as well as long-term basis. There is some flexibility on terms, depending on needs. We’re happy to have conversation and come to mutual agreements.
- Business rate, electricity, water, recycling disposal and management costs.
- Access to Broadband (please note that if uninterrupted streaming and broadband is essential to your practice then you should obtain your own mobile broadband service).
- Access between Mon-Thur 9am – 9:30pm; Fri & Sat 9am – 7pm; Sun 10am – 6pm
- Breakout spaces and free access to our second floor creation space for showing work in progress or working on larger projects
- 50% discount on ad-hoc hire of our hireable space on the first floor in the Dept of Imagination.
The spaces are on the second floor. Toilets are on the second-floor. Access via the service lift is possible but must be arranged in advance.
We do not have on-site car parking however there are plenty of other ways to get to Sparks!
Located in the heart of Bristol’s city centre, Sparks is easily accessible via public transport. We are a 25 minute walk away from Bristol Temple Meads train station and there are plenty of bus routes that drop you off at our doorstep! There are also many cycle racks in the Broadmead area surrounding Sparks. If you do need to use a car to get to us, the nearest car park is the Galleries.

The safe room
The perfect private studio for someone seeking an atmospheric creation space with very authentic 1960’s vibes and decor with free ancillary storage in a small room next door. The White studio
